PURPOSE: To manufacture slurry for a hydrogen storage alloy electrode capable of improving the battery performance such as the quick discharging characteristic of a battery by granulating the carbonyl nickel powder secondarily condensed in the slurry. CONSTITUTION: The carbonyl nickel powder and part of a thickener aqueous solution are kneaded to prepare conductive material slurry. The conductive material slurry is milled by a milling device arranged with two relatively rotatable disks face to face at the prescribed interval. The remainder of the thickener and the hydrogen storage alloy powder and the binder powder are added to the milled conductive material slurry to prepare the slurry for a hydrogen storage alloy electrode. The conductive material slurry may be prepared with only the carbonyl nickel powder and water. |
