PURPOSE: To provide a lens driving device capable of easily and satisfactorily performing a focusing control. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a motor 18 which is driven forward and backward so as to move and adjust the focus of a lens, mechanisms 19 and 17 for transmitting the movement of the motor 18 to a lens movement in the optical axis direction and a circuit for controlling the motor 18 so that the lens 7 may be moved to one limit position in the movable extent of the lens 7, thereafter, for driving the motor 18 backward from the limit position by a previously set prescribed operation amount so as to move the lens to an original position in order to focus, thus, the original position is accurately detected without using a sensor, and highly accurate focusing can be accomplished by taking the original position as a reference. |
