<p>PURPOSE: To enable a resonant air core transformer to be lessened in noise, improved in phase characteristics, and decreased in resonance frequency by a method wherein a primary winding or a primary winding and a secondary winding are made to form a resonance circuit composed of inductance and distributed capacitance. CONSTITUTION: The same two round conductors are arranged in parallel with each other and connected in series. When a voltage is applied to the conductors, a potential difference across the two conductors is as large as V/2 and constant through a left end to a right end, and current flows through the two conductors in the same direction. Therefore, the connection is represented by a lumped constant equivalent circuit and forms a parallel resonance circuit composed of inductance and capacitance. Moreover, a magnetic flux generated by a wire (return wire) which connects the two conductors together is set so as not to interfere with a coil. By this setup, a resonant-type air core transformer of this constitution is capable of being easily improved in phase, lessened in noise, and decreased in resonance frequency so as to cope easily with a switching frequency.</p> |
