PURPOSE: To provide a small-sized connector for switching optical lines which make optical fiber wirings less bulky. CONSTITUTION: A first connector 9a which is formed by disposing a ferrule 8a with optical fibers 3a, 3b of an incident side and optical fibers 4a, 4b of an exit side in parallel by exposing their connection sides to the connecting end face 5a of the ferrule 8a and a second connector 9b which is formed by disposing a ferrule 8b with optical fibers 6a to 6d for switching four pieces of the optical lines in a U shape and exposing both end face sides of the respective U shapes to the connecting end face 5b of the ferrule 8b are arranged to face each other. The optical fibers 3a, 3b of the incident side and the optical fibers 4a, 4b of the exit side corresponding thereto are optically connected as a set via the optical fibers 6a to 6d for switching the optical lines. The second connector 9b is slid and moved in X direction orthogonal with the optical axis Z of the optical fibers to switch the combinations of the optical fibers 3a, 3b of the incident side and the optical fibers 4a, 4b of the exit side to be optically connected via the optical fibers 6a to 6d for switching the optical lines. |
