The level gauge indicator has an oil dipstick (7), the top end of which has a handle (8). A wiper (10) is slidably located on the oil dipstick. The wiper is designed as a part with a surrounding ring plate, movable on the dipstick and fixable to it independent of the main handle, via a separate handle (14,15). The wiper has a surrounding ring plate, and an opening of alterable dimensions, for correspondence with the dimensions of the oil dipstick.
