PRODUCTION OF FINE HOLLOW GLASS SPHERICAL BODY

摘要

PURPOSE: To efficiently produce a fine hollow glass spherical body high in strength and excellent in whiteness. CONSTITUTION: A volcanic vitreous deposite powder having <=20μm grain size is supplied to a dispersion part filled with a glass solid sphere and silica sand, and a pulsating air having positive pressure is supplied to disperse the powder from its under part so that an upflow flow rate at the dispersion part may be 10-100cm/sec, and transported to a vertical foaming area maintained at 900-1100 deg.C to be foamed hollow body is recovered from a foamed product by gravity classification.
