PURPOSE: To improve the plug flow property of a liquid to be treated by using a high viscosity liquid continuous treatment apparatus having two horizontal shafts. CONSTITUTION: The multistage stirring blades 4, (7) provided to two horizontal shafts 2, 3 are constituted of a plurality of thick-walled blades each formed by notching a disc and mutually incorporated to be rotated. At this time, the adjacent stirring blades 4, (7) form small partitioned chambers 11. Since the whole of the apparatus is inclined by an angleθwith respect to a horizontal plane P corresponding to the viscosity of a liquid to be treated, the flow rate of a high viscosity liquid in the longitudinal direction of a casing can be ensured without deteriorating the plug flow property of the sent liquid.
