Battery-operated watch with separable modules

The watch has a housing (10) enclosing the watch mechanism (11), driving a time display (24, 24') cooperating with the watch face, which is covered by a transparent watch glass (21). The watch is formed as 2 separable modules (1, 2), the first comprising the watch mechanism and at least part of the watch housing and the second comprising the time display, the watch face and the watch glass. The modules have cooperating electrical and/or mechanical coupling elements (12, 22), engaging one another for transmission of the drive movement and/or control signals between the watch mechanism and the time display.
