摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a combustion method in a furnace for generating a small quantity of nitrogen oxides in which furnace temperature can be made uniform and the generation of nitrogen oxides can be controlled to be low. CONSTITUTION: A furnace casing 1 comprises a heat accumulating part, an alternately suspended combustion burner including two burner parts A and B as one pair, each having an air blow-off part 3 and several gas blow-off parts. which are alternately selectively burnt. When the respective burner parts A and B are alternately selectively burnt, gas is blown off simultaneously from all of the several gas blow-off parts, or selectively therefrom, and burnt. In order to make a furnace temperature distribution even, the gas is blown off simultaneously from all of the gas blow-off parts, or from the selectively and sequentially instructed gas blow-off parts. Otherwise, the furnace temperature distribution is measured and the gas is sequentially blown off from positions where temperature is low. Such an alternately suspended combustion is carried out by alternately switching the two burner parts.
