PURPOSE: To improve the freedom degree of the fitting position of a position detector and realize coping with the various ascent/descent traveling of an elevator by winding up a position detecting rope by means of a winder, generating a pulse proportionate to the rotary quantity of the winder. CONSTITUTION: A rope fitted to a car is wound up by means of a winding up drum. The winding up drum is connected and integrated with a pulse generator by means of a shaft. When the car is ascended, the rope is pulled upward by overcoming the winding up force of a winding up spring, and the winding up drum is rotated. A pulse generator generates a pulse that is proportionate to this drum rotary quantity, and delivers it to a controller in a machine room, and thereat, operation processing is conducted, and a car position is detected. At the time of car descent, the winding up drum is rotated reversely, and the same operation processing is conducted. |
