PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device capable of reducing the wearing of a latent image carrier, prolonging the life, further, performing an effective heat exchange with a compact device having a short latent image carrier and forming an image with high accuracy and which is easy to control the temperature of the latent image carrier. CONSTITUTION: For sufficiently lowering the temp. of a dielectric belt 1 heated by a heating roller 5 until the belt 1 reaches a developing unit 3, a Peltier cooler 10 is provided between the heating roller 5 and an eraser 12 in contact with the rear of the belt 1 and moreover, the belt 1 is heated from the rear of the belt 1 by a fan 11 between the developing unit 3 and the heating roller 5 through the use of the exhaust heat of the Peltier cooler 10 to reduce the load of the heating roller 5. |
