PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a quick or even real-time analysis of OH, NH or NCO valence or acid number presented by reactants by measuring temperature dependent infrared absorption presented by individual chemical groups and temperature dependent self- absorption presented by crystals for measuring ATR(attenuated Total Reflection) using an infrared ATR spectroscopy. SOLUTION: An infrared ATR spectroscopy is used to meaure temperature depedent infrared absorption presented by individual chemical groups at least one wave number and temperature dependent self-absorption presented by crystals for measuring ATR and determine the sample temperature by comparing these absorption with temperature/ absorption calibration values of the crystals for measuring ATR. The determined temperature is used to correct the temperatures dependency of the absorption spectrum presented by the sample. On the other hand, absorption measurement for OH group is performed over an OH stretching vibration range of 3100-3600cm<-1> , absorption measurement for NCO group is performed over a range of 2200-2350cm<-1> , absorption measurement for NH group is performed over a range of 3000-3500cm<-1> and absorption measurement for carboxylic acid group is performed over a range of 2500-3400cm<-1> .
|
