PURPOSE: To keep the improvement of treated water by the removal of org. matter by preventing the lowering of the decomposition reaction of org. matter due to the adsorbing action of activated carbon or bacteria bonded to the surface of activated carbon while reducing the energy necessary for fluidizing activated carbon. CONSTITUTION: In an immersion type membrane separator wherein a membrane module 3 is immersed in the liquid received in an immersion tank 4 to perform membrane separation treatment, an activated carbon adding device 2 for adding granular activated carbon and powdery activated carbon to the liquid is provided to allow granular activated carbon and powdery activated carbon to coexist in the liquid in the immersion tank 4. |
