PURPOSE: To effectively prevent corrosion and noise, by coating an appropriately thick rigid urethane foam on the whole surface of a steel structure. CONSTITUTION: A rigid urethane foam 4 with an appropriate thickness is applied or sprayed to coat the whole surface of a steel structure of a plate girder 1 composed of H-shaped steel members or L-shaped steel members on a road. The weather-proofness for anti-corrosive property is improved and the maximum amplitude of generated noise, attenuation time, and the characteristics of noise phone are also remarkably improved. And further, fire-resistance is increased as well. The coating thickness (h) of urethane foam 4 is appropriately selected in accordance with places and conditions to use a steel structure. |
