发明名称 THERMAL TRANSFER IMAGE RECEIVING MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE: To improve the dot reproducibility of ink even in high speed recording and to obtain an image good in sharpness, gradation properties and surface gloss by specifying the smoothness and center line average roughness of a receiving layer based on an aq. ethylenic ionomer resin and org. particles. CONSTITUTION: A thermal transfer image, receiving material is obtained by applying a receiving layer based on an aq. ethylenic ionomer resin to at least the single surface of a base material. The smoothness of the receiving layer is set to 100sec or more, pref., 200sec or more and the center line average roughness thereof is set to 1.0μm or less, pref., 0.7μm or less. By this constitution, ink transfer properties are improved and pinhole like missing printing is reduced and an image excellent in surface smoothness is obtained. Therefore, the obtained thermal transfer image receiving material can be adapted as a thermal ink receiving material including a sublimation type one, an electrophotographic toner receiving material or a fabric ribbon ink receiving material.
