A material handling system which is transportable to a drilling site includes all of the equipment necessary for preparing high-ratio mixtures of composite materials at the site. The system has a housing which capable of being loaded on a vehicle and within which are mounted a row of material dispensers, a number of filled material bags which are ready to be loaded on the dispensers, and a conveyor arrangement for collecting material from the dispensers and discharging it through a directed downspout from one end of the housing. The dispensers each have an auger mechanism that has one of three selectable diameters, and also have a variable gear arrangement allowing an auger of the auger mechanism to rotate at a selectable speed. The material handling system has a control system which is capable of identifying the material loaded on each dispenser, and of determining the length of time that the auger associated with each dispenser must operate to produce a material of selected composition. Using differences in auger diameter, auger rotational speed and duration of auger activity, the material handling system is capable of accurately creating mixtures in which the ratios of the ingredients can have a wide variation.
