The shoe has a wedge which alters the distance between the top and bottom plates between them. The wedge (15) is moved by a screwed spindle (23), which turns in it at its head and at its opposite free end (24). The wedge can be annular, with parallel ribs (20) at opposite ends in which the spindle turns. The spindle can have a tapering free end (24), turning in a mating recess (22) in the wedge, at which point it can work in an inserted bearing, which can slide in the direction of the spindle. Alternatively, the bearing can screw into a tapped hole in the wedge.
