Easily produced deep drawn plastics plate component

The plate shaped component as a carrier, such as the cladding for the luggage space in a vehicle, is composed of two bonded plates (14, 15) of the same plastics material. At least one is deep drawn into a shell to give the reinforcement to the hollow body. On deep drawing, the outer side is laminated with a layer (23) of the same plastics or it is a carpeting (23). The material for the plate layers (14, 15) is pref. polypropylene. Also claimed is a mfg. process where a carpeting layer is placed in the bottom of the mould before deep drawing.
