PURPOSE:To improve a Japanese sentence preparing function and to simplify its operating method. CONSTITUTION:An input keyboard 9 is divided into keys 1 for inputting KANA (Japanese syllabary and keys 9 for inputting alphabets. The function keys unsuitable for Japanese preparation are excluded, and converting function keys for inputs dedicated to KANA characters required for Japanese preparation, KANJI (Chinese character) conversion, the insertion / erasure of characters and the editing of sentences are newly added. For inputting Roman characters, those characters can be easily inputted by the minimum number of keys (10 keys for consonants and 5 keys for vowels). The confirmation of input characters is facilitated by a window so that no wrong input can occur. A Japanese sentence function to be frequently used is selected out of (ESC) functions, a single covered key is provided, the value of utilization is improved, and sentences can be prepared and read out by voices. Therefore, sentences can be easily and speedily prepared without fatigue. |
