PURPOSE:To perform the cooling of a scanner unit and to satisfactorily process the waterdrop generated in a thermal fixing unit in a printer. CONSTITUTION:The scanner unit 17 is cooled when the air flow aroused by the fan 21 passes the air flow path 22 arranged between the scanner unit 17, and the thermal fixing unit 13 and the paper sheet guide 19. In the same time, the base plate 34 of the paper sheet guide 19 is cooled, consequently the dew condensation is developed by the temp. difference between the base plate 34 and the thermal fixing unit 13, and the waterdrop is generated in the paper sheet guide 19. A part of the waterdrop is vaporized by the air flow made to flow in through the vent port 36 formed in the base plate 34 and another water drop is temporarily gathered in the waterdrop sink 37 provided below the downstream side of the base plate 34. Then, the waterdrop gathered in the waterdrop sink 37 is vaporized by the air flow made to flow in through the vent port 36 with lapse of time. |
