PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive detector array which is equipped with high resolution while enabling the reconstitution of high resolution image by processing a measured output from a detector having non-uniform sensitivity characteristics through a signal processing method. CONSTITUTION: This instrument has a detector 100 having non-uniform spatial sensitivity 108 over an entire photosensitive surface 102, and the image is reconstituted by operating the measured output from this detector 100 through the signal processing method. The sensitivity 108 of detector 100 is turned to peak at an intersection 120 of two sides 112 and 118 and monotonously decreased from that peak value to a little sensitivity in another area 122 on the surface. The integrated value of sensitivity on the photosensitive surface 102 of this detector 100 is almost 25% in the total sensitivity of detector having the peak sensitivity uniformly over all the surface. Therefore, this detector 100 catches light almost in 25% in comparison with a detector uniformly distributing the peak sensitivity over all the photosensitive surface. However, this detector 100 having the non-uniform spatial sensitivity 108 can get the extremely high image resolution.
