A method for detecting in the terrain the ground-coordinates of objects that are located at a relatively small depth under the ground, which ground stands in contact with free atmosphere, particularly mines, is described. It is primarily characterized in that the intensity of the IR radiation emitted from the ground is registered (3) in relation to said ground-coordinates, that is, individual positions, at least at a first and a second occasion at a relatively great time interval, whereupon for the individual positions (9, 10) the differences between the registered IR intensities from the first and the second occasions are calculated and compared with normal values for such differences for individual positions (7, 8) on the ground, without any object being located at a relatively small depth thereunder, deviations from said normal values being used to indicate the presence of objects. |
