A fishing sinker or other weight for use in the environment is provided in which the sinker or weight is composed substantially entirely of non-toxic, non-metallic materials formed to the required shape and configuration. The material may be suitable for water animals to eat, or may be a subdivided, non-toxic, naturally occurring material mixed with a non-toxic binder. In the latter case the binder may be chosen to decompose over an extended period in the environment in which it is designed to be used. |
