PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing a preassembled elastomer sleeve which covers the joint of an electric cable. CONSTITUTION: This method requires many tubular structures 19, which have semiconductive innermost layers to be molded by extrusion. When the sleeve 1 is manufactured, part of an inside layer is removed except a center part which forms an electrode. Further, an intermediate layer 18 is formed of a compound which has a specific relative dielectric constant and dielectric strength.
