<p>PURPOSE:To cut a covered wire to a constant length and strip a resultant length of the wire in one process, by installing a cutting edge outside the stripping edge of a stripping tool, connecting it with a second member to move the stripping edge, and providing a hook to prevent a first member from relatively opening until the electric wire has been cut. CONSTITUTION:An electric wire 22 is inserted, and a hydraulic cylinder 12 is fed with pressure oil to project its piston rod. Then arms 10, 11 rotate on their axis 3. A connection rod 9 connected with the arm 11 pulls a wire retainer 6, which clamps the wire 22 between it and a stationary block 6a to secure the wire. Simultaneously, a connection rod 8 connected with the arm 10 pulls a moving edge 4 for cutting to cut the wire, and further a connection rod 7 connected with the arm 10 pulls a moving edge 5 for stripping to cut the coating of the wire 22. The piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder 12 is further projected. This withdraws both the wire retainer 6, which cannot be moved because it clamps the wire 2, and the coating cut by the moving edge for cutting, which cannot be moved either.</p> |
