HERMETICALLY SEALED STRUCTURE OF POWER CABLE CONNECTING PORTION

PURPOSE:To provide an airtight termination connecting part or a hermetically sealed structure of a connecting body having the constitution similar to above termination connecting part by utilizing low cost material and less man-hours. CONSTITUTION:A rubber seal 21 to be engaged with a rubber seal receptacle 20a provided on a lower metal jig is provided between an insulator 1 and the lower metal jig 2 and the rubber seal 21 is extended until it is integrally engaged with the sheath of the cable 5. Moreover, a clamp 22 formed by joining two sheets of pressed plates is coupled with the lower metal jig 20 and these are tightened by a bolt at the cable sheath contact area. The internal surface of the clamp 22 is placed in contact with the external surface of the rubber seal 21 to hold the shape of rubber seal. Even when the airtightness between the rubber seal and lower metal jig is broken, water flows only to the external diameter part of rubber seal and does not enter the inside thereof. Therefore, a metal press molded part can be used as the lower metal jig.
