<p>The invention is directed to a deaeration device for oil supply installations for oil-fired boilers and similar plant equipment. The deaeration device includes a deaeration valve and a float which is made to float even in severely foaming oil by partially supporting its weight on a spring element. This ensures that the float will close the deaeration valve and prevent oil leakage.</p>
