PURPOSE:To provide an ink composition for water-based ball point pen, containing a specified ratio of a specified polyvinyl pyrrolidone and a specified polyethylene glycol, capable of being smoothly fed from a ink accommodation tube directly to a pen point and excellent in stability with time, dry up resistance and smoothness in writing. CONSTITUTION:This ink composition for water-based ball point pen is composed mainly of preferably 0.1 to 0.6wt.% cross-linked acrylic acid polymer for provided thixotropic properties, a styrene-acrylic acid copolymer, a pigment, water and a water-soluble organic solvent and contains 0.03 to 1.0wt.% polyvinyl pyrrolidone having 50000 to 1300000 weight-average molecular weight as a stringiness- -imparting and viscosity-stabilizing agent and 1 to 10wt.% polyethylene glycol having 1000 to 4000 average molecular weight as a humectant and lubricant respectively as the essential components. |
