PURPOSE: To prevent the spring-up of a film within the range of stretching rollers on an outlet side by preventing the generation of a gaseous phase between the film and the stretching rollers to increase the stretching force transmitted to the film. CONSTITUTION: A press-on roller 10 can be tilted within the constant angle-of- rotation range centering around the center axial lines 2a', 4a of the stretching rollers 2, 4 arranged on the inlet and outlet sides of a longitudinal stretcher 1 and can be engaged with at least a first terminal position I or a second terminal position II.
