<p>A table (10) and a gas-driven cutting apparatus (24) are provided. The table (10) supports a workpiece (40) in a suitable manner for cutting. The table (10) includes an open table top (11) with a plurality of openings (43) for receiving forced hot gases, and a plurality of horizontally arranged contact points (19) for supporting the workpiece (40). The openings (43) are distributed throughout the table top (11) independently of the cutting paths of the gas driven cutting apparatus (24). The table (10) further includes a ventilated stationary negative pressure (30). The table may include a plurality of vertically arranged slats (20) having longitudinal axes extending across the open table top (11).</p> |
