Pipeline interior opening and access provision process

The pipeline opening and access provision process comprises removing at least one detachable element from at least one position in the pipeline system, through which fluid can flow. The element is replaced by at least one device which amounts to an access point to the pipeline system. A movable pig or stopper may be may be used to close off the pipeline while the pipe junctions and fittings are being changed. This is done so that the individual connections of the systems where the removed element was have no connection through the new device, and at least one connection is provided with an access point by the device fitted. It should be possible to remove the element without welding, de-stressing or distortion.
