<p>Tissue stimulators and body condition sensors may be monitored telemetrically by the use of an implant (4, 5) within the tissue (B) and an electromagnetic oscillation or impulse transmitter (2, 3) and receiver (6, 7) outside the body. The transmitter and receiver are placed in a fixed position to one another. When a pulse is transmitted through the antenna (3), the implant (5) changes its electromagnetic properties. The changed signal is sent to the receiver (7). A tuning device eliminates interference. Sampling switches are incorporated in the receiver. Either an analog or a digital output can be obtained.</p> |
