PURPOSE: To simply process an opening thread by arranging the opening yarn to a lateral folding back folded edge to bond the yarn to the paper of an envelope or the internal backing paper of the envelope without protruding the same. CONSTITUTION: An opening thread 3 is guided to a position which is accurately regulated in a lateral direction to be guided to the front range of a constant dimension cutting part with respect to a paper web 8, through a guide roller to be applied to the paper web 8 and bonded to the paper web 8 under pressure by a pressure-bonding roller. Since the opening thread 3 itself has a necessary adhesive, it is bonded to the paper web 8 and the paper web 8 again runs along with the opening thread 3 during operation and the same speed as the paper web 8 itself is applied to the opening thread 3. For example, spring load is applied to the pressure bonding roller in order to generate necessary pressure bonding force. The lateral regulation of the opening thread is performed, so as to apply the opening thread 3 to the moving paper web 8 along the folding edge thereof. Immediately after this process, the side edges 11 of the paper web 8 are cut into a constant dimension at a cutting part by the cutters which rotate on both sides of the paper web 8. |
