PURPOSE:To form a space for binding margin at an appropriate position when an original of two pages is two-folded by recording on one sheet. CONSTITUTION:The space of an original image accumulated in an image memory controller 7 is detected by a space detecting part 4b in an image processing part 4. and it is judged whether or not the spaces for binding with width. for example, 15mm exist on both terminals of the sheet. and when no space exists, the space in a center part is detected, and when a large space exists, the space in the center part is reduced. When the space for binding exists on both terminals of the sheet in such a state. two right and left pages are pulled to a center line, then, they are copied on the sheet. When no space exists on both terminals of the sheet even by pulling to the center line, the original image is reduced by calculating a reduction ratio so as to generate the space, and it is copied on the sheet. |
