PURPOSE:To improve transmission efficiency in the case of transmitting data by transmitting data with a function code as one part of the message data. CONSTITUTION:In this data transmitting method for a radio call transmission system, two bits of a function code 32 are encoded on the transmission side by an encoder according to the encoding format of POCSAG as one part of message data, and a carrier wave is modulated by that data signal and transmitted by radio. On the reception side, the carrier wave modulated by the data signal is received, demodulated and decoded by a decoder, and an address code and function code bits are stored in a storage device. Next, these message data are fetched and reconstructed in the order shown by the address code and function code bits.
