PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of an auxiliary power supply or eliminate the need thereof by opening the auxiliary power supply after interconnection of an inverter and a system, starting the inverter while matching the voltage, phase, and frequency thereof with those of the system, and then starting the operation of interconnected system. CONSTITUTION:The charging switch SW2 of a charger is thrown in to charge the DC capacitor 4 of an inverter 3 with an auxiliary power supply 6 through a charging rectifier 7 and a charging resistor 8. An in interconnection switch SW1 is then thrown in while stopping the inverter 3 thus interconnecting the inverter 3 and a system power supply 1. Subsequently, the charging switch SW2 is opened thus opening the auxiliary power supply 6. Since the system power supply 1 and the inverter 3 have been interconnected, operation of the interconnected system can be started while matching the voltage, phase and frequency. This constitution can reduce the capacity of auxiliary starting power supply 6 even in case of a high capacity power converter. |
