A process for recycling waste from extruded (1) is collected in a reservoir (11) and mixed with water to form an homogeneous slurry contg. 20-80 wt.% water. This mixt. is used in place of the water feeding the extruder, with the feed rate of flour reduced according to the compsn. of the mixt.. The extruder (1) is fed from two ducts, one (5) carrying flour from a hopper (6) and the second (8) carrying water (9). Extruded prods. are removed from the other end (10). Waste prods. are put in the reservoir (11) via an opening (12) in its top. Water (9) is supplied to the reservoir by a pipe (13) and valve (12). The waste and water are mixed (20) in the reservoir. Mixt. is removed from the base of the reservoir via a second pipe (15) with a pump (16) and valve (17) which leads to the water feed line (8). |
