PURPOSE:To accurately estimate a dipole information from a small number of experimental data by calculating interpolatingly the value of the electromagnetic field of an imaginary measuring point from the data of the electromagnetic field measured at a measuring position on a living body and estimating the dipole information of a dipole hypothesized as a generating source of the electromagnetic field distribution by using an acturally measured point and an imaginary measured point. CONSTITUTION:Electromagnetic field distribution data 2 at an imaginary measuring point are estimated from the electromagnetic field distribution data measured by means of a brain wave electrode on the brain skin by using an interpolating technique by an imaginary measuring point electromagnetic field estimating part 1. Elimination of noises and normalization of the electromagnetic field distribution estimating data are performed by the data normalization part 3 and an error between the electromagnetic field distribution generated by a dipole calculated by the electromagnetic field distribution calculating part 7 and the electromagnetic field distribution normalized by the data normalization part 3, is calculated by the electromagnetic field distribution error calculating part 4. Optimization of the number, the position, the moment etc., of the dipoles is controlled by an optimization controlling part 5 so as to decrease the error and dipole data are formed by a dipole data generating part 6. |
