PURPOSE:To produce an open-cell foam excellent in flame retardancy and suitable, e.g. for heat insulating application in housing according to the aqueous expansion method by blending a polyisocyanate component with a specified polyol component and expanding the resultant mixture. CONSTITUTION:Production of this open-cell foam is carried out by blending (A) a polyisocyanate component with (B) a polyol component containing (i) a brominated polyol, (ii) an aminopolyol, (iii) a polyol for soft polyurethane, (iv) a polyoxyethylene alkylphenyl ether, (v) water and (vi) a catalyst and expanding the resultant mixture. In addition, the respective contents of the components (i) to (iv) in the component (A) are preferably 15 to 35 pts.wt., 15 to 35 pts.wt., 20 to 40 pts.wt., 10 to 30 pts.wt. and 20 to 40 pts.wt. based on 100 pts. wt. total weight of the components (i) to (iv), respectively, and the density of the foam is preferably 7 to 20kg/m<3>. |
