Plastics tubes are made in a sequential series of operations on a set of spaced mandrels radially supported around a common central support tube which is rotated to position each mandrel in turn into >=1 station at which a mandrel is coated with resin, >=1 station at which the resin is partially hardened, and >=1 station at which the tube is removed from the mandrel. These operations are carried out simultaneously. Each mandrel is constructed to have respective open end, closed ends and a longitudinally extending sleeve with an inlet and outlet at the open end. Cooling or heating medium is introduced into the mandrel as required. At each coating station the medium used is at a temp. lower than the hardening temp. of the resin. The hardening station mandrel(s) use a medium at a temp. above the hardening temp., whilst the tube removing station mandrel(s) uses a medium at a temp. below the hardening temp.
