PURPOSE:To improve a cycle life characteristic while effectively suppressing a discharge voltage drop and capacity decrease due to a fine short-circuit by a deposit, by more completely finishing masking a metal ion eluded in an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:In an electrolyte used in a hydrogen cell constituted by laminating through an ion permeable separator a negative electrode, formed of a hydrogen storage electrode, and a positive electrode immersed in the electrolyte, a phosphoric acid system compound as a complex forming agent, forming a complex with a metal ion serving as a nucleus, is added. In the metal ion eluded in the electrolyte, the complex is formed quickly further stably with the phosphoric acid system compound as the complex forming agent, to surely apply masking. In the case of using the phosphoric acid system compound having an amino group, since the amino group is related to a configuration of the metal ion, a stability constant with the metal ion is improved, and the complex can be more quickly further stably formed. |
