PURPOSE:To reduce the memory size of a font ROM by reducing remarkably correction instructing strings in font data. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 analyzes outline font data read out from an ROM 102, etc., to generate correction instructing strings for correcting font data corresponding to respective groups based on an analyzed result. Then, the CPU1 performs different correcting processions to longitudinal strokes or lateral strokes of respective outline fonts based on generated correction instructing strings. |
