PURPOSE:To execute a volume rendering processing by means of a ray casting method at high speed with less calculation quantity by standardizing the coordinate of a sampling point converted into a three-dimensional curve coordinate and specifying a grid cell including the sampling point based on the coordinate. CONSTITUTION:A picture processor 10 reads numerical data from a numerical data storage means 21, generates two-dimensional picture data based on numerical data and stores generated two-dimensional picture data in a calculated result storage means 22. Stored two-dimensional picture data is displayed on a display device 30. Numerical data is set on the respective grid points of a column coordinate system, and the sampling point X(n) on eyes is displayed by the coordinate of a three-dimensional orthogonal coordinate system. The coordinate of the sampling point X(n) is converted into the coordinate R(n) of the column coordinate system and the coordinate R(n) is normalized. Then, the grid cell V(n) where the normalized coordinate G(n) becomes one grid point is specified. The grid cell is the one that includes the sampling point. |
