THE EQUIPMENT AND THE METHOD FOR INORGANIC FIBROUS MATERIALS

producing a fiber with molten solution melted at high temperature and simultaneously coating the produced fiber with a fibrous binder by an injection process; laminating the coated fiber on a transferring net(3); and drying and hardening the inorganic fiber in drying furnace. The fiber is passed between upper and lower first compression conveyors(6) with different speed under the condition that wrinkles are not occurred, heated, passed between upper and lower rollers(7) for surface treatment so as to form a semi-hardened layer on its surface, and passed between upper and lower second compression conveyors(8) of which the transferring speed is slower than that of the first compression conveyors(6) and between compression rollers(9) so as to form the hardened surface layer without occurrence of wrinkles. The obtained fibrous mat has high surface compression strength and high resistance to bending.
