The device comprises a second sterile filter which acts as a further blood filter (60) in the inflow pipe (22) between the first sterile filter (38) and the first blood filter (12). The first chamber (64) of the second blood filter is plugged into the dialysis liquid path (20), and the second chamber (68) is plugged into the blood path (80). The first chamber (64) is connected to the first blood filter (12) chamber (14) by a first connecting pipe (72). The second chamber of the second filter is connected to the second chamber (16) of the first filter by a second connecting pipe (74).
