PURPOSE:To obtain the subject substance not containing a metal to cause problems in terms of production in blending with a resin and reduction in physical properties of a composition without generating a by-product of a hydrogen halide by reacting a polyhydric alcohol, etc., with a phosphoric ester in the presence of a prescribed catalyst such as quaternary ammonium hydroxide. CONSTITUTION:(A) A polyhydric alcohol, a polyhydric phenol or a polyoxy alkylene polyhydric alcohol is transesterified with (B) a phosphoric ester of formula I [R<1> and R<2> are each a 1-18C alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, a (1-18C alkyl- substituted) aryl, an alkoxyaryl, etc.] by using a hydroxide or a carboxylate of a quaternary ammonium or an alkylpyridinium of formula II or formula III (R<4> to R<9> are each a 1-18C alkyl, phenyl, benzyl, or a substituted aryl) as a catalyst to give the objective substance. |
