PRODUCTION OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT AND ITS RUBBING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide a method for uniformly rubbing an oriented film by rubbing cloth uniformly fixed to the peripheral surface of a roller through plural pieces of attraction holes formed on the peripheral surface of the roller and its device. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral surface of the roller 6 is provided with plural pieces of the attraction holes 9 and the rubbing cloth 5 is vacuum attracted to the peripheral surface of the roller 6 through these attraction holes 9. Further, the rear surface of the rubbing cloth 5 is back coated. Further, a structure to drive a fan 16 for vacuum attraction commonly with driving of the roller 6 is adopted.
