A potential-free control module is disclosed for IGBT's or field effect transistors. Although an optic coupler is capable of transmitting static signals, its maximum transmission frequency is limited by the inertia of the luminescent diode and phototransistor. In order to widen the transmissible signal frequency range, a transformer (24) is connected in parallel to the optic coupler (14) as a pulse transmitter. The module thus allows signals to be transmitted in a wide frequency range by means of cheap standard components.
