DIPHOSPHATE OR TRIPHOSPHATE ANALOGUE CONJUGATES

Diphosphate or triphosphate analogue conjugates with antigenic enzymes or carriers and immunological assay using such conjugates. In these conjugates, the disphosphate or triphosphate analogue is based on formula (I) in which n is equal to 0 or 1, X<1> and X<2> which can be CH2, CHF, CF2, CC12, CHC1 or NR<6>, R<1>, R<2>, R<3> and R<4> are a hydrogen atom, NH4<+>, a quaternary ammonium ion or M<+>1/v, and R<5> is a nucleoside-derived group, linked to the antigenic enzyme or carrier, either by the nucleoside-derived R<5> group, or by one of R<1>, R<2>, R<3> or R<4>. Such conjugated compounds are useful for assaying anti-viral phosphorylated metabolites of antiviral agents such as AZT.
