<p>PURPOSE:To prevent damage to a hook part, etc., by providing a prohibiting means for prohibiting grasping a handle for drawing a carrying unit when a guide is closed, and for allowing grasping the handle when the guide is opened, in a paper feeding device constituted so as to draw the carrying unit. CONSTITUTION:A copying machine has a double surface unit 2 as a carrying unit forming part of a sheet carrying path, and a handle 7 is concealed by a main body 1 when the double surface unit 2 is closed. Opening carrying part covers 4 and 5 at the time of jam treating releases a lock device being locking the double surface unit 2 to make it show on a front surface to make the handle 7 provided on the upper surface of the double surface unit 2 appear. The lock device is constituted so that a locking part 8 can be released by a plunger, etc., when the opening of the carrying part covers 4 and 5, wherein the inner side is adopted as a carrying guide, is detected by a sensor; and the double surface unit 2 is pushed out by a spring 10 when locking is released.</p> |
